There is 2 registration dates remaining! This Saturday June 12th and next Saturday June 19th. Don't wait to register, players were turned away in the Spring that tried to sign up late! There will be a late registration date on June 26th that will have a $10 late charge applied, there will only be registrations taken if there is still openings in the respective divisions, so don't wait until this date.
Some of the notes from the Board Meeting you all should be aware of....
First, the website is in the process of making the transition to the new web hosting company, once the transition is done you will need to re-register for the website and re-bookmark the new website address, it will still be www.hesperiasoccer.com but it will be a different bookmarked location than this site is.
All Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Team Moms and Referees over the age of 18 must be live scan fingerprinted by Cal South and Hesperia Park and Rec. We will have Cal South at our Fall Player Draft for people that need to be live scanned. There will be a $15 charge for the live scan and it is good for life. All Board approved Head Coaches will be FREE. All Coaches and Assistant Coaches will also need to have a coaches license. The licenses are as follows...
U-5, U-6, U-8 - Youth Module 1 Coaching License
U-10, U-12 - Youth Module 3 Coaching License
U-14, U-18 - "E" License
There will be an "E" License class in Victorville on July 31st and August 1st at Mesa Linda Park. The cost for the class is $85, if you are in need of taking this class or are interested in taking it just to improve your coaching ability you can contact the Director of Coaches John Maniaci for more information, you can email him at john@hesperiasoccer.com.
If you are unsure of your fingerprinting status with Cal South, Hesperia Park and Rec, or your Coaching License status, you can contact Renee at renee@hesperiasoccer.com and she will check your status.
YOU WILL NOT BE GIVEN A TEAM IF YOU ARE NOT LIVE SCANNED ON OR BEFORE THE DRAFT!!
The draft is tentatively scheduled for June 30th, once I get confirmation of location and time I will post it. You will also select your team uniforms and schedule practice days at the draft.
Practices are scheduled to start the week of July 12. Opening Day Ceremonies are scheduled for August 7th. We need volunteers and donations for Opening Day. If you are interested in helping put together the festivities or are willing to make a donation please contact margaret@hesperiasoccer.com. All teams will be responsible for hosting their own booth and 10% of all ticket sales they make will go directly to the team as a fund raiser.
The regular season will begin on August 14th! Its going to be a fun season and I know I am looking forward to it.
